DSI Samson Group strengthens its leadership with eight new board appointments, showcasing homegrown Sri Lankan talent to drive future growth and expansion.

Colombo, Sri Lanka, September – In a bold strategic shift, DSI Samson Group Sri Lanka has appointed eight  [8] new board directors (now a total of 14) across its subsidiaries, marking a new chapter in the Group’s corporate leadership evolution. The new appointees will join the ranks of current DSI Samson Group Subsidiary leadership – Sarath Weliwita, Dayananda Abeythilake, Rohan Somawansa, Bhathiya Amarakoon, Priyantha Abeygunawardhane and Arunodhani Wikramasinghe, reaffirming DSI’s commitment to a sharper business focus across its diverse portfolio in Sri Lanka.

The latest appointments underscore the Group’s long-term succession planning. Each new leader has served the DSI Group for over a decade and has been systematically groomed to take on senior responsibilities in driving business growth. By cultivating its next generation of Sri Lankan leaders from within, the Group safeguards the local essence of the business, ensures authentic brand stewardship, and strengthens the competitiveness of every business unit for sustained growth.

The new director appointments include:

Mr. Nuwan Kulasooriya who joins the board of Samtessi Brush Manufacturers (Pvt) Ltd., with 15+ years of experience in supply chain management. Ms. Asha Dissanayake who joins the board of Samson Group Corporate Services (Pvt) Ltd, bringing 30+ years of HR expertise and advanced qualifications in human resources and psychology; Mr. Lakmal Dharmarathna takes a board role at Samson Rajarata Tiles (Pvt) Ltd, leveraging two decades of operational and manufacturing leadership; Mr. Jagath Vithanachchi is appointed to Primo (Pvt) Ltd, with nearly 30 years in polymer technology, innovation, and product development; Mr. Chaminda Sumanaratne joins the board of Samson Solar Power (Pvt) Ltd, offering three decades of insurance, administration, and compliance experience; Mr. Pradeep Samaratunga is named to the board of Samson Trading Company (Pvt) Ltd, with wide-ranging finance and business expertise; Mr. Renuka Bandara takes on a board position at Primo (Pvt) Ltd, backed by deep financial and strategic planning credentials; and Ms. Waruni De Silva joins the board of Samson Group Corporate Services (Pvt) Ltd, recognized for her achievements in financial  governance, monitoring and risk management.
